A 3-day flash exhibition of intersectional feminist art curated by Katie Cercone, EMINENT DOMAIN opened Thursday, July 12th, 2018 in the former Robert Miller Gallery space at 524 West 26th St. The exhibition included work by over 90 international artists. The reception involved performances by Kelly Shaw Willman, Leyla Daze, Anne Sherwood Pundyk, Leopoldo Bloom, ULTRACULTURAL OTHERS High Prieztezz Or Nah & UNDAKOVA, Jade de LaFleur “PSYCHOpop,” Victoria Gibson, Qinza Najm, Siw Laurent, Carol Scavotto and Elena Kendall-Aranda.
The exhibition included Anne Sherwood Pundyk’s impressive 92 x 82 in. acrylic and mixed media on latex Triquetra which filled an entire wall. During the opening, Pundyk approached her piece wearing an equally large painting as a cape, that trailed on the floor. Her performance “Tales,” in the spirit of EMINENT DOMAIN, was about taking up space and going LARGE.
